Just as you might have a personal trainer or financial advisor, MyBeautyEditor is your very own on-call beauty mentoring and personal shopping service. In short, your Beauty Editor is me, Philippa Pearne! It’s lovely to meet you.
Thanks to my career in beauty journalism for 15+ years and the abundance of products I have tried and tested during that time, I help my clients to find the solutions to all their beauty uncertainties and make them feel confident that they’re choosing (and spending money on) the right products for their personal needs. So, whether you’re confused about which skincare products to buy, want to know how to make the most of the contents of your makeup bag, or just need a pair of expert eyes to point you in the right direction when it comes to your regime, consider me your go-to girl for beauty guidance.
I understand that approaching beauty counters can be daunting and that choosing which products to buy in a busy shopping centre on your lunch hour can be stressful. So, let me ease the pressure, give you the friendly advice you need in a low-stress, friendly environment and put the fun back into shopping for your beauty regime. I use my knowledge of what’s out there - new and old - and offer a fresh perspective on the products you need (and the ones you don’t), advise on the makeup that will compliment your skin tone, talk you through the textures that will work for you and explain all about the ingredients that will give your skin or hair a beautiful boost. And better still, I am completely impartial. I am not affiliated with any brands and have no agenda. So the only loyalties I have lie with you.
After filling out a short questionnaire over email so that I can get a better understanding of what you’re looking for, we will meet for a coffee (my treat!) in a place where you feel comfortable, or on Zoom if you’d prefer, and chat through your concerns, have a look through what you’re currently using and take it from there. There are three packages to choose from – ‘Glow’, ‘Gloss’ and ‘Glam’. The package you choose depends on your own budget and needs, but each one includes a consultation (either in person or online), and at least one personalized product prescription to keep and use how you wish. ‘Gloss’ and ‘Glam’ include a free gift and there is also a shopping option for those who would like it. The idea is for you to get a tailor-made experience and feel great in the process.
I have put together three booking packages for you – ‘Glow’, ‘Gloss’ and ‘Glam’. They have been created with different budgets and needs in mind. Whichever one you choose, you’ll go away feeling more confident not only in knowing which products work best for you, but also in yourself.
If you’re on a budget, or you just need a nudge in the right direction, this package is the one for you. We will go through your makeup bag together, have a friendly chat about your skin or hair care regime (depending on which one confuses you more) and you can then make your choice between a personalised makeup or skincare prescription, lovingly put together by yours truly. Newfound confidence – in the bag!
I have a strict no judgement policy. So, if you need a little bit of extra help in the beauty department, don’t be afraid to choose this package. A step up from Glow, we will talk in more depth about your beauty woes in all areas - from skin and hair to makeup and body. You’ll get a makeup bag consultation as well as a more detailed prescription for both skin and makeup. There’s also a free gift thrown in for good measure at your first appointment, just to make you feel extra special.
